Assistant Aquatics Manager
The Assistant Aquatics Manager at Blaine County Recreation District (BCRD) is a key temporary, non-exempt position responsible for overseeing lifeguards and swim school instructors, coordinating schedules, and supervising aquatic program activities in the absence of the Aquatics Manager. This role requires familiarity with aquatic safety protocols, emergency action plans, and the ability to maintain high standards in water quality and facility cleanliness. Additionally, the Assistant Aquatics Manager assists in delivering high-quality programs such as swim team, swim school, and aqua-fitness classes, ensuring effective communication and program execution.
Swim Team Head Coach
The Swim Team Head Coach at Blaine County Recreation District (BCRD) is responsible for developing the curriculum and overseeing practices and meets for summer youth swim teams. This temporary, non-exempt position requires attending all youth practices and swim meets, maintaining expertise in swim team operations, and addressing parent and athlete queries effectively. Additional responsibilities include coordinating team uniforms, managing swim team events such as the end-of-year party, and handling scholarship awards, all while promoting sportsmanship and teamwork.
Summer Camp Counselor
Summer Camp Counselors enhance program participant’s experience at the BCRD Summer Camp, while taking responsibility for their health and well-being. Counselors are expected to support the mission of BCRD and assist in the development and implementation of strong, mission driven programs that enrich the residents of Blaine County. To serve as a role model to other staff, volunteers, and program participants. Counselors will provide uncompromising service to our customers in an environment that is open, honest, balanced, and safe in which there is trust, respect, and cooperation among all. Counselors will report to the Youth Program Coordinator. This is a seasonal position.
Aquatic Center Lifeguard
- Be a positive role model and serve as an ambassador for the BCRD conducting yourself in a responsible and attentive manner when on duty.
- Communicate any issues or concerns to supervisor promptly and effectively.
- Arrange time off through your supervisor in an efficient and timely fashion.
- Work cooperatively and effectively with all staff.
- Perform within the guidelines of the BCRD employee manual.
- Follow directions and perform duties as required or necessary.
- All Orbital Shift change requests must be submitted to your supervisor via e-mail.
- Perform work in a safe and efficient manner and be constantly alert and aware of the hazards involved and know and apply safety practices and principles in reporting and preventing accidents.
Aquatic Center Front Desk
Key responsibilities include delivering excellent customer service, handling phone calls professionally, assisting walk-ins with various inquiries and transactions, and performing daily close-out procedures. The role also requires managing equipment needs, ensuring BCRD information is available to the public, adhering to shift schedules and dress codes, and assisting with additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.
