Each winter, BCRD offers Nordic and snowshoe trails free to community.

Wood River Trail Challenge
Join us for the 2024 Wood River Trail Challenge from January 26 – February 23.
To complete the challenge, you must ski, walk, snowshoe, or snowbike the entire 32 kilometers of the Wood River Trail.

We regret to announce the cancelation of Ski the Rails due to unseasonably warm weather conditions. Unfortunately, spots along the Wood River Trail have melted and the weather forecast does not support the conditions necessary for the event. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to hosting future fun and engaging community events on the Wood River Trail.
Ski The Rails
February 10
Ski the Rails is a free Nordic ski tour along the Wood River Trail.
Start at Serenade Lane in Ketchum or anywhere on the Wood River Trail System. Finish at Myrtle Street in Hailey.
Boulder Mountain Tour
February 3, 2024
The premier cross-country race in the Western United States, the Boulder Mountain Tour is staged on the historic Harriman Trail located in the pristine Sawtooth National Forest Area.
Race distances are 34 kilometers, the Full Boulder, and 15 kilometers, the Charley Course Half Boulder.
