Avalanches
claim numerous lives every year in North America. There are several
places with the potential to experience avalanches along the
cross-country and snowshoe trails maintained by the Blaine County
Recreation District. High avalanche danger sometimes require sections
of the North Valley Trails and Quigley Nordic to temporarily close.
