50th Anniversary

Celebrating 50 Years of Recreation, Community, and Connection

For 50 years, BCRD has been part of everyday life in Blaine County. From first swim lessons and after-school programs to miles on the trail, team sports, and lifelong friendships, BCRD has helped generations stay active, connected, and rooted in this place.

This milestone belongs to the community. It exists because people showed up, participated, volunteered, coached, and believed that recreation strengthens quality of life. As we celebrate 50 years, we invite you to reflect on the memories that brought you here and to join us in honoring a shared legacy that continues to grow.

Join Us in the Celebration

The 50th anniversary is both a moment to pause and a reason to get outside. It is a chance to look back on the memories, places, and people that shaped recreation in Blaine County, and to celebrate the amenities and programs that continue to bring the community together today.

Throughout the year, we invite everyone to take part in simple, meaningful ways. Share a story from the past. Explore a trail you love, or discover one you have not visited yet. Participate with your family, your neighbors, or on your own. This celebration is about honoring where we have been and enjoying what we have together right now.

Thank You, Blaine County

For 50 years, BCRD has been shaped by the people it serves. This anniversary is a celebration of community pride, shared spaces, and the simple joy of being active together. Thank you for being part of the past, present, and future of recreation in Blaine County.
