BCRD offers special events and clinics throughout the year to learn something new or build existing skills.

Winter Workshops and Clinic

BCRD is offering new Nordic ski clinics at Quigley Trails Park–learn to ski or build your technique from our instructors.  We are also offering programs like Futsal throughout the winter.

Ladies Only Beginner and Intermediate Mountain Bike Clinics

Beginner: This 4 hour, 2 day clinic is designed for beginner riders looking to gain confidence with the fundamentals of Mountain Biking. The clinic will cover proper body positioning, braking, shifting, cornering and basic bike maintenance.

Who: New Riders 18 and older
When: Monday May 29 and Thursday June 1
Time: 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Cost: $100

Intermediate: This 6 hour, 3 day clinic is designed for intermediate riders looking to improve technical skills and learn to ride more efficiently. Riders will utilize the variable terrain and features at Quigley trail park to improve body positioning, cornering, climbing, descending and pedal stroke. On- trail, intermediate bike maintenance skills will covered.

Who: New Riders 18 and older
When: Monday May 29, Tuesday May 30 and Thursday June 1
Time: 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Cost: $150

Wilderness First Aid Certification

In just two days, gain the critical thinking skills you need to confidently recognize and manage any medical emergency... no matter where you play. Through group discussion and hands-on skills practice, you'll learn how to assess the critical systems that keep your body alive, determine if a backcountry medical condition is serious or not serious, manage musculoskeletal injuries, and prevent and deal with environmental concerns like temperature, drowning, and lightning.
