Futsal
Futsal, derived from the Spanish term ‘fútbol sala’, is the official small-sided indoor soccer variant recognized by FIFA. Each team fields five players simultaneously, and the game features ongoing substitutions and a distinctively smaller, harder ball with reduced bounce compared to traditional soccer.
The confined playing area necessitates exceptional technique and prowess from players. While futsal holds its own as a professional sport, boasting both national and global tournaments, it’s also viewed as a foundational training method for standard 11-a-side football.
