Current Openings:
The Blaine County Recreation District is seeking a full-time, year-round Fitness Manager to oversee our FitWorks fitness center located in the Community Campus in Hailey. The Fitness Manager is responsible for the successful operation of all aspects of FitWorks fitness center including customer service, membership, class schedules, equipment and facility, and the gymnasium. This position provides direct supervision of all fitness instructors including aquatic fitness classes to include recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, payroll and evaluation of staff. In addition to FitWorks oversight, the Fitness Manager oversees adult sports and leagues programs including pickleball, basketball, and soccer. The ideal candidate is a fitness professional who enjoys connecting adults with a healthy, active lifestyle, has excellent communication skills, is a detail-oriented multi-tasker, and has previous management experience. This position reports to the Director of Recreation and includes a full benefit package and retirement plan. A full position description can be found here. Assistant Aquatics Manager positions available for full time seasonal work May — August. This position is responsible for oversight of daily pool operations including supervision of lifeguards, swim school instructors, and front desk staff and ensuring adherence to aquatic safety protocols at all times. Required training and certifications will be provided for successful candidates. Ideal candidate will be a responsible leader who has previous management experience. Basketball referees and volunteer coaches needed for the BCRD youth basketball program. Ideal candidates will have a confident and outgoing personality, excellent communication skills and be familiar with the game of basketball.
