North Valley Trails
The North Valley Trail system lies north of Ketchum and includes Lake Creek, North Fork, Billy’s Bridge, Prairie Creek, and the Harriman Trail.

North Valley Trails
Located north of Ketchum, the North Valley Trails are maintained and groomed by BCRD in partnership with the US Forest Service. These trails are located primarily in the beautiful Sawtooth National Recreation Area, and feature diverse terrain for every level of skier and snowshoer.
The trail system includes Lake Creek, Billy’s Bridge, North Fork and Durrance, the Harriman Trail, Prairie Creek, and the Galena Lodge Trails.
Harriman Trail
Named in honor of W. Averell Harriman, this 32-kilometer trail is groomed for Nordic skiing by BCRD and serves as a vital link for the entire BCRD Nordic Trail system. The Harriman Trail is also popular in the summer with hikers, bikers, and equestrians.
Prairie Creek & Billy's Bridge
Located just south of Galena Lodge, this area offers 16km of groomed Nordic skiing and a snowshoe trails. The Billy’s Bridge 8km Nordic loop is dog-friendly and all snowshoe trails in the system allow dogs as well.
North Fork Trails & Durrance Loop
The North Fork trail and Durrance loop are groomed Nordic trails located at the Sawtooth National Recreation Area Headquarters just north of Ketchum. The 7km Durrance Loop is open to Nordic skiers, dogs, and fat bikes. The 4km North Fork trail is dog friendly and also has a snowshoe trail located alongside the Nordic trail.
Lake Creek
Home to the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation training center, the Lake Creek trails offer 15km of groomed Nordic terrain open to cross country skiing only and located conveniently close to Ketchum.
