Unfortunately the Lake Creek trail system is closed for now. The warm weather and rain was too much for the thin snowpack. Hopefully we get more snow soon and can have it up and running again. The trails from SNRA to Galena benefited from some fresh snow and are freshly groomed.
The trails team plans to groom SNRA to Galena including Durrance, North Fork, Prairie Creek, Billy’s Bridge Loops and most Galena trails for skate and classic daily. However, keep an eye on the daily grooming reports for specific trail reports and any changes to grooming for the day as things don’t always go as planned. We are finally getting more snow! Kee p in mind that grooming occurs in the early morning, expect new snow on the groom if we get snow during the day. Thinner conditions exist on North Fork and Durrance Loops.
North Fork, Billy’s Bridge and Galena Snowshoe trails are all signed.
As always, please do not walk on the Nordic trails and be sure to use snowshoes on snowshoe trails.
Sawtooth Avalanche Center has reported moderate avalanche danger in our mountains. For a full report visit sawtoothavalanche.com
